ST hosts an annual research event for associate artists, as well as a lively artistic development programme attached to projects. Relationships have developed over a long term, and the research has resulted in many processes and new art works.

The company are regular contributers to talks, publications, conferences and training courses nationwide and internationally. In collaboration with Leeds University the company has developed AWP ( Arts Work With People ) a post graduate professional education programme for artists and associated professionals.
