The Dance Of Light Trilogy 1994 - 2002

Triptych is the final piece in a trilogy of dance, voice, and visual art works made over an 8 year period by Isabel Jones for salamanda tandem with a team of collaborating artists. Using a variety of materials and artistic influences including; candlelight, powder, projected, lazer and ultraviolet light, Perspex, Butoh and contemporary dance, medieval vocal music and the extended voice. The works have a strong international flavour with artists from Japan, China, Malaysia, Europe, Britain and America. The trilogy of works were created for unusual sites and landmarks and performed throughout England in: museums, great halls, cathedrals, modern and historic buildings, and galleries.
