Jo Fairfax - Sculptor

Jo began a career as a gallery artist in 1979, initially creating fragile sculpture and then moving into light installations. From 1990 through to 1999 Jo collaborated with Isabel Jones and Salamanda Tandem to develop ideas with light and movement. During this period of time 7 performance projects were delivered culminating in Triptych in 1999. In 2002, Jo was awarded a residency at the Holocentre, in New York, where he made two short holographic films. Jo is currently enjoying the freedom to explore new ideas as a result of a NESTA Dream time Fellowship award.
